Your VIVERSE Account

Learn how to manage your VIVERSE account, from registration to avatar selection to profile updates!

Create an Account

Visit viverse.com and click Sign In in the top right corner. You’ll be presented with a window to sign into an existing account. Below that sign-in form will be the Create New Account link. Click that link to begin registration.

When registering for a new account, click Sign In, then click Create New Account to get started.
Click Create New Account below the Sign In form.
Once you complete the form you'll be able to begin the account creation process.

When filling out the registration form, you'll notice that you can use an existing Google or Steam account to sign up for a VIVERSE account. Otherwise, sign up using your email address.

Once the account creation is complete and you’ve verified your email address, you’ll be automatically logged into your VIVERSE account.

After registering, you're taken back to the VIVERSE website, already logged in. Click the profile icon to set up your custom profile.
Now that we're registered and signed into VIVERSE we can fill out our profile.

From here, you can click the generic profile icon in the top right of the VIVERSE site and select My Profile. This will initiate the VIVERSE Avatar selection process for use across VIVERSE and its many hosted worlds.

Select Your Avatar

After creating your account and clicking the My Profile link from the Profile icon, you'll be presented with VIVERSE's Terms of Use. Click Agree to accept the terms, then proceed to select the Avatar style you’d like to use.

An avatar is your key to representing who you are on VIVERSE — a virtual character that you can use to play games, animate with friends in social hangouts, or interact with your environment if you're in VR experiences. And you're not locked to just one avatar or just one style! Add and use various avatars (up to 12) based on the Worlds you're exploring, hanging out in, or hosting a meeting inside of so that you're always authentically you in the spaces you choose.

VIVERSE offers four types of avatars for use across Worlds: Stylized, Realistic, and Retro avatars, as well as the ability to import VRM files.

Tip: You’re not stuck with just one Avatar choice; you can have up to 15 saved to your account!

Available Avatar Types

We offer the following VIVERSE Avatar options:

  • Stylized Avatars – Our latest rigged avatars that you can choose, change the wardrobe of, and even download for use on other platforms!

  • Realistic Avatars – Turn a photo or live webcam scan into a realistic avatar based on the source material.

  • Retro Avatars – Our virtual character creator that offers an older cartoonish look with unique wardrobe pieces and ensembles for classic customization.

  • Virtual Reality Model (VRM) - If you have a custom- or app-made VRM file, you can upload it for use on VIVERSE to maintain your virtual persona.

If you select the Stylized Avatar category, you'll see eight featured Avatars that you can choose from.

After selecting a Stylized Avatar you can then choose an outfit for them.
In this example, we've selected Lucy from the Stylized Avatar options and changed their default outfit.

Account Name and ID

When your avatar has been selected, it’s time to set a Display Name and User ID for your VIVERSE account to finalize your account's creation.

We've finalized the avatar we want to use and are ready to set our display name and account's user ID.

The Display Name is the name that will appear above your active avatar when browsing VIVERSE Worlds. This name can be changed at any time, and does not need to be unique.

The User ID, however, is a unique account name that is attached to your Profile URL and cannot be changed or deleted.

Once you've settled on what you want to use, click Done, and you'll be prompted to set up your Profile.

Update Your Profile

By default, your profile will be automatically filled out with Worlds you've published, favorited Worlds by other creators, and then creators you've followed to stay on top of their updates. To further customize what users see, you can update your profile to add additional content.

Fill Out Your VIVERSE Profile

To get started, click your profile icon at the top right of your VIVERSE account, then click My Profile.

Click on the My Profile link to access and edit your VIVERSE profile.

You’ll be presented with an internal view of your profile content, where you can add or change several key features to help shape the public profile that everyone sees when they click on your user ID.

Customizable Areas

Further customizations to your profile can be made by adding/updating the following sections:

  • Update the header image that appears above your profile.

  • Add or remove a custom profile image to help recognition across the platform.

  • Include a biography statement or paragraph, describing who you are, your background, your interests or inspirations, and more.

  • Your social media accounts (YouTube, X, Discord, Facebook, Instagram, and Bluesky), where VIVERSE users can find and engage with you.

  • Add showcase items, up to four photos and/or videos, to tease your content to viewers and entice them to click to your published World(s).

You can edit information like your display name, add a bio, and upload images and video to showcase your content.
In the top half of your profile you can edit features like: display name, biography, and add media to showcase your content.

Additional Profile Features

As mentioned earlier, the following profile features are also visible and they dynamically update as you Follow creators and Favorite experiences:

  • Published Worlds you've made and uploaded to be hosted on VIVERSE.

  • Creators you follow appear on your profile so others can find and explore their content.

  • Worlds you’ve favorited to revisit later appear on your profile to share what you've enjoyed on the platform.

Furthermore, you can share content to your public profile like your published VIVERSE Worlds, creators you follow, and Worlds that you've favorited.
In the lower half of your profile, you can edit features like: sharing published Worlds, creators you follow, and Worlds you've marked as a favorite.

Finalize Your Profile

When you’ve completed your profile updates, save your changes. You can then click the Public Profile button at the top of the page to view what other VIVERSE users will see.

Now that your Avatar is selected and your profile has been updated, it’s time to explore what creators have published on VIVERSE.
